In India, Total Installed capacity of power sector is approximately 1, 46,755 Megawatt (MW) .Out of which 54% is coal based,25% is hydro , 8% is renewables and the balance is the gas and nuclear based.
In next 10 years, another 10,000 MW of capacity and investment of about INR 24 lakh crore are required. This will create Millions of jobs in India.
In geographical perspective, India lies in sunny regions of the world. Most part of India receive 4-7 kWh of solar radiation per square
Metre per day with 250-300 sunny days in a year. India had abundant Solar resources, as it receives about 3000 hours of sunshine every year, equivalent to over 5,000 trillion kWh. India can easily utilize the Solar energy or Solar Power.

The project is already begun and we have managed to provide solar lamps around 100 homes in Uttar Pradesh with the help of Grameena bank.
We will target to provide solar lamps to 500 houses at the end of year 2010.
